How to join HIGH ROLEPLAY with VMP

To join the Persian-language HIGH roleplay server, you need GTA V on Windows and the VMP client. This guide covers connecting, preparing your first character, and checking common connection problems.

What you need

GTA V on Windows

You can download the game from the VMP website. If you already own GTA V, that copy works too.

Download GTA V from the VMP website

The VMP client

Install and update the client through the official VMP website. Check its guidance for the supported game version. HIGH does not require a separate launcher.

Internet and free disk space

You need a stable connection and enough free space to download required files. Check the VMP website for the client's current requirements.

Joining with VMP

  1. Prepare the game and client

Download and install GTA V from the VMP website, or use your own copy if you already have one. Then get the VMP client and installation instructions from the same site. If the installer asks for the game location, select your GTA V installation folder.

  2. Find HIGH ROLEPLAY in the server list

Open VMP and search for HIGH ROLEPLAY in the server list. Select the server and choose Connect. On your first visit, allow the required server files to download.

  3. Read the rules and follow the in-game instructions

Review the current server rules before starting a scene. Follow the instructions inside the game to sign in and create or select a character.

If the server is missing from the list or you cannot connect, check server status and the troubleshooting section below first.

What is roleplay?

Roleplay means making decisions from a character's perspective. Their name, goals, knowledge, and behavior should fit the story you give them. These basic concepts help you start:

IC — In Character
Conversations and decisions made as your character within the game world, such as asking another resident for directions.
OOC — Out of Character
Information and topics about you as a player, such as technical issues or settings. Keep them separate from your character's knowledge.
Metagaming
Using information obtained outside the game to guide a character's actions, such as finding someone through an address only shared in an outside conversation.
Powergaming
Forcing the outcome of a situation on other players or acting beyond your character's reasonable abilities. Give others space to respond and roleplay.

These are introductory explanations. Read the current HIGH rules for the definitions, exceptions, and restrictions that apply on the server.

Your first character

Your first character does not need an elaborate backstory. A clear starting point makes later choices feel more natural:

  • Choose a name, a short background, and an initial goal, such as someone who has arrived in the city to find work.
  • Start with simple situations: conversations, finding work, and learning your way around. Build your experience gradually.
  • Do not treat information you saw outside the game as something your character automatically knows.
  • Leave room for other players to react and avoid deciding a scene's outcome in advance.

Connection problems

Identify whether the problem involves installing the client, finding the server, or connecting. This helps you choose the right next step.

HIGH is missing from the server list

Search for HIGH ROLEPLAY again and refresh the list. Check server status and community announcements; maintenance or an outage may affect availability.

VMP will not install or start

First check that GTA V itself runs. Review the game version, installation path, and client instructions on the official VMP website. Keep the exact error message to help identify the cause.

The connection drops or files will not download

Check your connection and free disk space, pause large downloads, and try again. If the issue continues, note the error message, the stage at which it happens, and the approximate time before asking for help.

News and help

Follow server announcements and community guidance on Voltex or Discord. When asking for help, explain which setup step you reached and include the exact error message.
